History of Thai Massage
Thai Massage, also called Thai Yoga Massage, is an ancient form of therapy that has roots in Thailand. It is believed that Thai Massage was developed by a physician to Buddha over 2,500 years ago in India and passed along through Buddhist Monks in Thailand.
Through the years, Thai Massage took influence from Chinese Medicine and became a major medical component for monks practicing Thai medicine.
About Thai Massage Sessions
Thai Massage integrates three major components: yoga from India, acupressure from China, and meditation from the Buddhist monks of Thailand. You will be moved into a series of yoga stretches, but do not have to do any of the work yourself. This enables you to have a completely relaxing experience while still receiving a yoga-like benefit of stretching.
Thai massage also focuses on facilitating energy flow through the body. It revitalizes the body while stretching the muscles. Because of this integration, Thai Massage is not only relaxing but also energizing.
Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is done on the floor, fully clothed.
