Welcome!
Bruce Woolf: 30 years of experience in Shiatsu & Thai Massage
I am a practitioner of Traditional Shiatsu and Thai Yoga Massage, holistic hands-on modalities rooted in Eastern bodywork. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Bodywork Educator trained in Japan and the United States.
Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs. Injuries, chronic pain, imbalances, range of motion, and general well-being are all taken into careful account prior to and during the session. Both Shiatsu and Thai Yoga Massage are practiced on a specially designed low table. Individual comfort needs are met with the addition of purpose-made cushions. The client is clothed as massage oils are not used. It is recommended to wear or bring comfortable clothing for the session.
The physical and mental benefits of Shiatsu are multifaceted. The focus is on "Ki" (energy) and facilitating its movement through the body. Shiatsu and Thai Yoga Massage are helpful in reducing stress, including work-related and sports injuries.
My peaceful studio is conveniently located in Manhattan, at 21 East 1st Street (near 2nd Avenue). Sessions may also be scheduled in your home or office. You may contact me for further information and appointments at: 917-941-1396 or email bruce@nycshiatsu.com
